— A Pilgrimage of Divine Light
DivineLightTravel is a long-term, life-dedicated journey of global pilgrimage.
Conceived quietly in 2016 and formally set in motion in 2017, this project began when I chose to step away from my former professional life and devote myself fully to a single purpose: to seek and document the Divine Light of Earth.
This journey is not a conventional world tour.
It is an exploration rooted in cultural history, religious art history, and the natural landscapes of the planet—an attempt to rediscover the meaning of Divine Light that humanity has pursued since antiquity.
After enduring the global disruption of the COVID-19 era, the journey resumed in January 2024.
Traveling side by side with my wife, I reached my 50th country in early September 2024, in Uganda.
The ultimate goal is to visit all 196 nations of the world. Though the path ahead remains long, each step is taken with patience, continuity, and resolve.
What Is “Divine Light”?
Within this project, Divine Light refers to the luminous presence found in nature and sacred spaces—
the light of the Creator, the light of saints, the light of the extraordinary, the light of goodness, and the light of hope.
Every major religion in the world began with an encounter with an inexplicable light.
From these primordial experiences emerged religious traditions, cultural systems, and humanity’s spiritual heritage.
Through distinctive methods of exploration and documentation, DivineLightTravel seeks to trace, investigate, discover, record, and share these extraordinary manifestations of Divine Light on Earth—adding a new chapter to the religious and cultural history of humankind.
Project Purpose
The purpose of DivineLightTravel is to guide those who long to travel, yet cannot, into a journey illuminated by Divine Light, through imagery and film.
Using Japan’s advanced 8K ultra-high-definition imaging technology, this project records and preserves natural wonders and cultural heritage with a level of clarity rarely seen in the world.
Through these visual records, it seeks the Divine Light of both the past and the present, and opens a path toward the future Divine Light of Earth.
At its core, this project is dedicated to individuals who have experienced profound hardship in life—
those who have faced failure, illness, or physical limitations that prevent travel.
By offering visual encounters with the world shaped by Divine Light and the mysteries of nature, DivineLightTravel aims to provide inspiration, comfort, and a deep sense of fulfillment through the power of seeing.
A Pilgrimage of Divine Light
DivineLightTravel exists to follow Divine Light, to witness it, and to preserve it.
It is a journey guided not by distance or numbers, but by moments in which Divine Light reveals itself within the world.
My sincere wish is that this pilgrimage of Divine Light may continue to unfold across the Earth, illuminating both the seen and unseen dimensions of human existence.
